Real life or fantasy?

Do you like"soap operas"? They are called"real life" stories, but how real are they?

Million of people all over the world love watching soap operas. Why arethese shows so
popular? Maybe it's because they are not likereal life at all. Nothing is ever ugly or
old-fashioned. The women are either young and beautiful or old and beautiful. The men
are euther smart and good-looking or stupid and good-looking. No one is ever fat.

Many things are the same about soap operas all over the world. The families are
always very rich. They usually have a family business. They live in very large houses.
They drive fast cars and they wear expensive clothes.

But there are always problems-big problems. Children don't listen to their parents.
Husbands disappear. One day the family business is great and the next day it's no
good. Nothing is ever easy in the world of soap operas.

I think that soap opera makes me happy and relax.

How To Become A Good Student

To become a good student, you need to get motivated! Motivation can come from seeing the situation of many poor children around the world who are not lucky enough to get a proper education. Keep that in mind when you don't want to attend class or study at home.
Another reason to get motivated to study is that you will enjoy a better quality of life as an educated person. You can go to educational websites, like this, and surf them with interest.
You must not force yourself to study, this will make learning a chore and you'll not feel like even opening your books. You will have many academically good students in your courses.
Try becoming friends with them (or encourage your current friends to be better students),
and you'll be immersed in an academic environment which will help you feel motivated!
Above all, you need confidence! For that, we need to feel that we are working for ourselves,
and not for others! Good luck!

Finally, I hope that everybody can do it, if you try to do. You will get an"A" in every
subjects same as me.

My pets

I have three family pets: a dog, a cat, and a turtle. The dog"s name is Benjamin. He is
a big golden Labrador. He is beautiful. He has big brown eyes and a long tail. He is a very
friendly dog, but he is sometimes a little stupid. Dogs are expensive to keep but they are
fun to play with.

My cat is named Kitty. She is quite young, but she is not a kitten. She is very pretty.
She has black and white fur and green eyes. She's smart and very clean.

The turtle's name is Richard. He has short, fat legs, along neck, and a very hard shell.
He is also very old and slow. He's ugly and dirty, but I like him.

Tareta lives on an island

Tareta Riki is thirteen years old. She is Polynesian and lives on the little island of
Aitutaki in the South Pacific. Aitutaki is one of a group of islands called the Cook Islands.

Tareta has two sisters and a brother. Her mother is a customs officer at the airport
and her father is an ambulance driver at the island hospital. Her older brother doesn't
live at home. He is married and lives in New Zealand.

Tareta goes to school on the island. "I like most subjects," she says. "I like learning
new things. My favorite subject is physics, but I also like gymnastics and volleyball.
We have homework to do every evening."

"At home in the evening I like cooking and making clothes. On weekends I have
dancing classes. I love dancing and listening to music."
